Students of the Department of Management Science and Technology, AUEB, won the HR Case Competition, Purdue University
DMST AUEB students, Maria Slamari, Evangelia Pantazopoulou, Alexandra Stathopoulou and Eleni- Stamatina Tzerefou, with the supervision of Associate Professor Ioannis Nikolaou were awarded the 2nd place in the online global competition HR Case Competition, organized by Purdue University (USA) on Thursday, November 5.
As the jury and the scientific director of the competition pointed out "the Greek participation had the best presentation and raised the bar by presenting first in a series of presentations". In addition, the student Eleni-Stamatina Tzerefou was awarded the title "Best Speaker".
Τhe students had worked on many HR case studies, acquiring knowledge critical to team’s final victory, through the courses "Human Resource Management in the Digital Age", with Associate Professor Ioannis Nikolaou, and "Human Resources Management", with Dr. Konstantina Georgiou.
Associate Professor Ioannis Nikolaou said: “This is a great achievement, especially if we take into account that the competition is held annually with the participation of students from major universities and that it was the first time this year that an institution outside the United States participated. I hope their success will be an example for other students in the future and I am sure that it will help them in their next steps both in the university and in their professional path”.
