Laboratory of Human Resource Management: Research in "Pandemic and Digital Adaptation in Human Resource Management: Teleworking and Distance Learning"

The acceleration of the digitization process of administrative practices and the positive attitude of employees towards the digital solutions they learned in the pandemic, as well as the penetration of e-learning, both in corporate-organized education and, above all, in self-development, beyond the narrow limits of the job, were confirmed in the research conducted by the Laboratory of Human Resource Management (HRM) which scientifically supports Athens University of Economics and Business Postgraduate Program in Human Resources Management.

The research was conducted, under the scientific responsibility of the Director of HRM Laboratory, Assistant Professor Eleanna Galanaki, during the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, from October 27th to November 30th, 2020, among employees of organizations and companies operating in Greece. The survey involved 662 employees that participated through an online questionnaire.

It is worth noting that the employees who participated in the research had largely experienced the effects of the pandemic at work, as regarding the working hours 37.4% said that they increased, 14% stated that they decreased, while only 45.6% said that they remained the same.
