New international recognition for the Athens University of Economics and Business in 2022

The international rating agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) ranks the Athens University of Economics (AUEB) in 2022 among the top Universities in the world in the main scientific fields it treats. In Greece, AUEB distinguishes as the first University in 5 out of 6 scientific fields in which it was evaluated.

Specifically:

• In the scientific fields of Business Administration (Management & Management Studies) and Accounting & Finance (Accounting & Finance), AUEB is ranked globally between positions 151-200 (1st in Greece).

• In the scientific field of Statistics and Operational Research (Statistics & Operational Research), AUEB is ranked globally between positions 201-230 (1st in Greece together with the National Technical University of Athens).

• In the scientific field of Economics (Economics & Econometrics), AUEB is ranked globally between positions 251-300 (1st in Greece).

• In the scientific area of ​​Social Sciences (Social Sciences & Management), which includes numerous scientific fields (such as Accounting & Finance, Business & Management Studies, Communication & Media Studies, Economics & Econometrics, Education, Law, Politics & International Studies, Social Policy & Administration, Sociology, Statistics & Operational Research), AUEB is ranked 357th (1st in Greece).

• Finally, in the scientific field of Computer Science and Information Systems (Computer Science & Information Systems) AUEB is ranked between positions 301-350.

The "QS World University Rankings" receives data from the bibliographic database of scientific publications (Scopus) related to the research activity and the impact of the volume of research conducted by the academic and research staff of the evaluated Universities. Moreover, the distinct characteristics and the reputation of the University both in the international market and the academic community are considered, which results from its participation in a special survey> 75,000 business executives and> 130,000 academics during the last five years respectively.
