International Acclaim for Ph.D. Graduate of the Department of Business Administration, Stavros Vourloumis

A research paper by Dr. Stavros Vourloumis, who received his Ph.D. from the Department of Business Administration of the Athens University of Economics and Business and is currently an Academic Fellow in the same Department, received the “Best Paper Award” within the area of Strategy Process, during the Annual Conference of the Strategic Management Society, which took place in London from 16 to 20 September 2022. The Annual Conference of the Strategic Management Society is the largest and most reputable academic conference in the subject of Strategic Management worldwide.

The paper was nominated and selected through a blind peer-review process, among more than 1,200 papers that were submitted in the same conference.

The title of the paper "Examining the Impact of Open Strategy-Making Processes on Strategic Renewal through Qualitative Configurational Analysis", and it attempts to examine how different combinations and configurations of practices and approaches in “opening-up” strategy-making processes can lead to distinct trajectories of strategic renewal employed by different firms.
