After two years of online competitions, the finals of this year's Negotiation World Championship “The Negotiation Challenge 2022” were hosted by Athens University of Economics and Business and the MSc in International Negotiations.
The Negotiation Challenge is a negotiation competition that brings together international students from the best graduate business and law schools across the world. Past participants have included, inter alia, Harvard Business, Law and Kennedy Schools, University of Cambridge, University of California Hastings College of Law, Washington College of Law, Georgetown University, University of St. Gallen, HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, ESSEC University, King´s College London, IESEG, Athens University of Economics and Business, University of Connecticut, NUCB, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, National Law School of India, Nanyang Technological University, University of Cape Town, University of Twente, ESMT and Imperial College London.
TNC 2022 started with three online qualification rounds on March 11-12, March 18-19, and March 25-26 including all teams registered for the competition. The best 10 teams from the qualification rounds participated to the final event, which took place in Athens, Greece, in April 29-30. During the final event, the teams negotiated face-to-face in three additional rounds.
With 50 teams from all continents, TNC 2022 was the largest competition so far. The level of negotiation skills among this year's participants was exceptionally high. This year's negotiation simulations were super complex and required from the participants a wide spectrum of negotiation skills.
Congratulations to 2022 Negotiation World Champions: Kavya, Brandon, and Sewit representing University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, silver medalists: Johnathan, Haley, Sara representing American University Washington College of Law and Shailendra, Himanshu, Saravanan from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management.
Special congratulations to the MSc in International Negotiation’s team consisting of Vasileios Dimitrakis, Eleanna Chrysanthopoulou and Aphroditi Sentoukidi that took the 9th place in the ranking of the 50 teams in total that participated, while the undergraduate students at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Konstantinos Gounelas, Foteini Keroglou, and Panteleimon Nikolopoulos took the 6th place.
