Evangelos Ioannidis, born 1962, obtained in 1987 his degree in Mathematics from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. In 1993 he obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the same University. From 1987 to 1991 he was employed by the University of Heidelberg, while in 1992-93 he was invited researcher at the University of Orsay, Paris Sud. From 1994 to 1998, he was employed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), in Paris, France. He then worked, during 1999, as a researcher at the National Labour Institute in Athens. At 1999 he was appointed as a Lecturer at the Department of Statistics of the Athens University of Economics and Business and at 2007 as Assistant Professor at the same department, a position for which he obtained tenure in January 2011.  At 2023 he was appointed as an Associate Professor at the same department. During 2012-1015 he was involved as a consultant and co-authored several deliverables of methodological projects, which were undertaken by Greek companies on behalf of the European Commission (Eurostat).  His current research interests concern spectral analysis of time series, co-integration methods, application of bootstrap to time series and their application to the analysis of economic data, as well as Official Statistics, and, in particular, survey sampling.
