Phoebe Koundouri have been elected member of Academia Europae

Academia Europaea is a European non-governmental association having about 4,500 members including 70 Nobel laureates. The object of Academia Europaea is the advancement and propagation of excellence in scholarship in the humanities, law, the economic, social, and political sciences, mathematics, medicine, and all branches of natural and technological sciences anywhere in the world for the public benefit and for the advancement of the education of the public of all ages. This Academy aims to support European research, provide advice to policymakers and international organisations on scientific issues and promote interdisciplinary and international research.

 

Prof. Phoebe Koundouri has been elected member Board of the Trustees of the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS)

The World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS) was founded in 1960 on the initiative of Albert Einstein and Robert Oppenheimer. Today the Academy is composed of about 800 Fellows from 90 countries, including scientists, leading artists, politicians, statesmen, heads of research institutes and international organizations, Nobel Prize winners, and business leaders.The World Academy of Art and Science is an association of committed individuals drawn from diverse cultures, nationalities, occupations and intellectual pursuits spanning the arts, humanities and sciences, conscious of the profound social consequences and policy implications of knowledge, and united by a common aspiration to address the urgent challenges and emerging opportunities confronting humanity today.
