JUNIOR ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT | VANTAGE SHIPPING LINES

Vantage Shipping Lines is seeking for eager graduate or postgraduate students who aspire to take their first steps in the accounting department of a shipping company. This is an entry level position, therefore our selection criteria will focus on your academic background, your enthusiasm for the accounting / finance sciences and your ambition to build strong professional skills by applying your knowledge to our daily activities.

REQUIREMENTS

BSc or MSc among the fields of Accounting, Finance, Economics
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Fluency in English language.
Strong academic track record.
Ability to work in fast paced and high-pressure environment.
Knowledge of the shipping business will be considered a plus.
Enthusiast for the science of Accounting & Finance.
Eager to acquire new skills and work effectively in a team environment.
Military obligations fulfilled.

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Introduction to the daily book-keeping activities and basic accounting entries.

Execution of Accounting department’s daily administration tasks.
Support in the treasury procedures (bank accounts reconciliations, preparation of payments).
General ledger reconciliations (clients, vendors, creditors).
Support in the internal and external reporting.
